Veritas is glad to have an active Cross Country team made up of students in grades 5th through 12th. As an outflow of our school’s mission statement, our Vanguard runners seek to model sportsmanship, aiming to bring glory to God as they serve and witness throughout the running community. In addition to the fall season, the Cross Country program offers a Running Camp in August each year.
The program is also open to homeschooled students. For more information on the Veritas Cross Country program, please contact the Athletic Director, Ken McChesney.
At Veritas, our four houses, named after great poets from Western Civilization (Homer, Virgil, Dante, and Milton), integrate students from grades 7 to 12, fostering fellowship and leadership across all levels. This system encourages positive role models, good sportsmanship, and spiritual growth. Competing for the Headmaster’s Cup boosts motivation for academic diligence and service. Students remain in their house throughout Upper School, often alongside siblings. House Coordinators oversee quarterly service projects and foster fellowship, leadership, and Christian maturity. Led by teachers and seniors, house members engage in service projects quarterly, with seniors rotating leadership roles. Despite being a recent addition, the House system has become integral to our secondary students' school experience, echoing Joshua 24:15: “As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord!”
We look forward to meeting you.
Our office is open 8:30am - 3:30pm.
